There are two different types of Cocoa used for Ritter Sport Chocolate:
- Noble cocoa
- Organic noble cocoa
The noble cocoa that Ritter Sport uses is from Madagascar, Papua New Guinea or Ecuador. The Organic noble cocoa that Ritter Sport uses is from Peru and Ecuador.
Cocoa Mass is the most important ingredient in order to make chocolate. There are a few steps needed to transform cocoa into cocoa mass. First the cocoa beans are roasted and grounded, then through the friction heat turns the chocolate into cocoa mass.
